SISA'S 6th BIRTHDAY

A short posting, this, after a good day! January 7th is Sisa's birthday. This year Paul, Ximena and Sisa invited their friends to La Galleta de Bruselas in Primavera. If you don't know about La Galleta de Bruselas, you need to know about it! Launched by Belgian, Liesbeth Alexandre, it is not much more than a garden, shared with rabbits and (sadly) caged budgerigars with, at the back, a small house and kitchen. From the kitchen come all sorts of wonderful meals, prepared by Liesbeth and her team of Ecuadorian and Chilenean cooks. These meals are mostly carried out to parties and special events, but you can eat 'in' as well - in the garden. La Galleta is especially famed for it genuine Belgian waffles. And they are good - very good! (Check out the web pages, on the link to the right of the blog postings.)

Anyway .... the bouncing castle was inflated early; the tent was put up; the magical clown appeared; the rain stayed away; chicken and chips were served to the children, and kebabs or a delicious quiche to the mums and dads (and grand parents!); the candles on the cake were lit - No! The candles on the waffles were lit and blown out by Sisa (or the wind?); and then as many waffles with strawberries and cream were served as were wanted.
Sisa with the clown. The blue thing was stuffed with sweets
and little toys for the children.
Sisa is usually not a good eater, but she seems satisfied with
her Oreo here!

Waiting (impatiently!) for their waffles.

Robbie did not have a great day! Still suffering from a surfeit of
sweets and biscuits at Christmas time, I think!
